Bali ranks high on the bucket list of most travel enthusiasts. It isn’t hard to understand why as these islands are captivating and picturesque. This makes Bali honeymoon packages highly sought after among travellers. Bali is most famous for its beaches. The waters here are warm and vibrant with their various shades of turquoise. The beaches have white sands which are almost silky in their appearance which adds to the allure. In addition to that one can also find many towering cliffs nearby which provide unbeatable panoramic views of the scenery. So, it’s a given that any tourist on a trip here has to go to the beaches. The question which arises then is which ones should a tourist choose, as it is easy to get confused with many options. So, keeping that in mind we have compiled a list of the most beautiful beaches in Bali:
- Amed Beach
- Jimbaran bay
- Sanur Beach
- Seminyak Beach
- Legian Beach
- Nusa Dua Beach
- Suluban Beach
- Kuta Beach
- Kelingking beach
- Crystal beach
The best beaches in Bali can be found on the northeastern coast. An excellent example of one such beach is the black sand Amed beach. The biggest draw for tourists at this beach is the marine life and the reefs which line the ocean floor. As a result of this marine biodiversity, outdoor activities like snorkelling and diving are popular here. A worthwhile spectacle to watch out for while diving is the historical shipwreck. These all add up to create quite an alluring experience for couples while on their Bali honeymoon package. The divers out there can also visit Tulamben, which is another hot dive spot. With so much on offer, it is definitely one of the most beautiful beaches in Bali.
Two things stand out in particular when Jimbaran bay is spoken of – soft sands and a tranquil environment. So much so that it can be said that no trip is complete without visiting the coveted Jimbaran Bay. However, the biggest steal of the show here has to be the sunsets. There are plenty of luxury stays here and you will have no shortage of options when choosing accommodation here. If you do decide to stay here then do try the seafood as it is as fresh as it can possibly get. Lastly, book an exclusive romantic table at the Bawang Merah Beachfront Restaurant if you want to up the romance on your trip.
The Sanur Beach can be thought of as a dialed-back version of any popular Miami beach. With lesser crowds, it sure makes for a peaceful experience. There are plenty of “ Warungs ” here which give you a sense of being at one with the culture here. The beach is clean and welcoming. The most popular outdoor activities to engage in here are – sailing and kitesurfing. Don’t forget to visit the Sindhu market while you are here to try the delicious Martabak.
The Seminyak beach is touted as Bali’s “ most upscale and stylish beach resort area ”. It is true that this list of the most beautiful beaches in Bali would remain incomplete without including Seminyak. One can find numerous high-end restaurants and eclectic fashion boutiques here. Some of those upmarket and luxurious accommodations can be found here. Prime among them is the Oberoi Beach Resort which was one of the first of its kind in the region. The Seminyak beach is famous in particular for its surf. This makes it popular among the surfing community. However, if you aren’t as keen on venturing into the waters then you can always lie back and soak up some sunshine on its white sands. The Seminyak also offers spectacular sunrise and sunset views. So, do spend a day here and soak in the beauty of this gorgeous beach.
The Legian Beach is located in between its more crowded siblings – Seminyak and Kuta. It offers a much quieter and more relaxing experience to its visitors. There are plenty of watersports activities that one can engage in here like – bodyboarding, surfing, and so on. Again there are plenty of options for those who aren’t into outdoor sports. They can take their pick from picnicking, bike rides, kite-flying, and even making the seaside classic sandcastles. All in all, the Legian beach offers a very relaxing and laidback ambiance that most visitors will appreciate.
Nusa Dua takes care of every eclectic craving you can possibly have on your trip. From spas to golf courses, Nusa has got it all. Nusa Dua is enclosed within a gated compound and boasts of the most pretty beaches in all of Bali. This upscale beach is serene and quiet. It also offers opulent accommodations and has 20 big resorts on the beach. One can walk endlessly on the beach’s pristine white sand and take a quick dip in the waters to cool off. Do head to one of the restaurants here for a scrumptious meal. Lastly, if you like to shop then do head to the “ Bali collection ”. Located at the far end of the beach, it has several upscale shops. With luxury and beauty available on-demand, it is one of the most beautiful beaches in Bali.
The Suluban beach is located in the southern region of Bali near Uluwatu. The journey to get here through a boardwalk and a cave in itself is picturesque. Once you are at the beach you will be greeted by waves that are optimal for surfing, along with tide pools and small caves. Do visit the restaurants and cafes situated set on top of the cliff for some spectacular sunset views. It is worth noting that the water here can get choppy at times, so it isn’t the best for swimming for children.
Kuta will bring to mind Miami beaches. Located close to the Ngurah Rai International Airport, this golden sand beach is always the hub for action. It has its origins as a humble fishing village but in present times it is so much more. Today, Kuta Beach serves as the location for many vibrant resorts. There are many choices when it comes to accommodations to choose from and at night one can groove to lively music. It is also like many other beaches in Bali – a hot surfing spot. Kuta Beach is so popular that most Bali travel packages feature accommodations near it. However, it is recommended that if you are looking for a quieter trip you should look for options further inland.
Shots from Kelingking beach are postcard and advertisement worthy. Nestled between high limestone cliffs this secluded beach is surely brag-worthy. It is situated near the azure hued Manta Bay and Nusa Penida Island. It isn’t the easiest to reach in terms of access but the views which are mentioned earlier are well worth the effort. This beach isn’t particularly crowded so it is advisable to pack necessary supplies. It also serves as a good swim location for even novice swimmers.
10. Crystal beach:
Located near the west coast of the Nusa Penida island, this beach is technically not in Bali. However, that doesn’t make it not worth paying attention to but rather the opposite. The Crystal Bay features translucent blue-green waters which make for a great visit any day. It has a healthy and thriving coral reef lining its shores which makes it a diving hotspot. However, it is recommended that you make a note of the strong current that are present here sometimes. It may come off as undeveloped to visitor’s eyes but the small establishments here cater to almost every need one can have.
